The Latest recording by the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band features some of our most requested pieces. This CD is perhaps a touch lighter in repertoire and features many different aspects of the RNZAF Band. Recorded in August 2012, this CD unintentionally became the swan song of former Director of Music Owen Clarke. Lieutenant Commander Owen Clarke is now the Director of Music of the stunning Royal New Zealand Navy Band.

The spectacular sound of New Zealand's largest military band will thrill on this recording which encompasses a vast range of music, from classics to jazz.

Whether it's the swing of "Fly Me to the Moon" or the stirring sound of bagpipes and Band, there is something everyone will enjoy. Music of the Spheres is the first disc released by the band under the conducting of Squadron Leader Owen Clarke and will not disappoint.

This CD was recorded and released in 2000 under the baton of Flight Lieutenant Stephan van Lieshout.  It is a great mix of songs with something for everyone to enjoy.  It features the full symphonic band as well as a few tracks from the 'Swing Band' playing an assortment of genres, from marches to film scores.

In compiling this CD, we have sought to present a cross-section of the varied styles of music that the band is typically called upon to perform. This may be for various parades and ceremonies, public concerts tattoos and pageants, major sporting fixtures, international engagements and local events.  Also many of the band members have performed in the country's top civilian brass bands so we have taken this opportunity to showcase some of our talented soloists.
